PÉTITIONS de la delégation Panafricaine à la CPI pour crimes de guerre de l’OTAN, FRANCE, USA, G.B., Italie et Canada., G.B., Italie et Canada.

La Pan African Solidarité de La Haye Comité (PASHC), dirigé par le  Secrétariat international du mouvement et de l’Association internationale contre la torture du 12 Décembre, a remis une pétition au Procureur de la Cour pénale internationale (CPI), à La Haye au Pays-Bas, ce Juin 18. La pétition exige la poursuite des États-Unis, de la Grande-Bretagne, de la France, de l’Italie, du Canada et de l’OTAN pour crimes de guerre et crimes contre l’humanité.

L’équipe PASHC juridique, Roger Wareham, Esq. (Etats-Unis), David Commissiong, Esq. (Barbade), Troy Griffith, Esq. (Etats-Unis), Alfred Toussaint, Esq. (Haïti), Sylvestre Kouadio, Esq. (Côte d’Ivoire) et le ministre Akbar Muhammad (NOI / Etats-Unis).

Selon l’avocat des droits de l’homme Wareham Roger, «les crimes dont nous les accusons ont été commis au cours: de l’invasion par l’OTAN de la Libye et le renversement et l’assassinat du colonel Mouammar Kadhafi de la Libye ; du renversement dirigée contre Haïti du Président Jean-Bertrand Aristide en 2004; de l’intervention militaire française qui a abouti à la capture et l’arrestation du président Laurent Gbagbo en Côte d’Ivoire ; du racisme institutionnel que les États-Unis infligent à sa population noire, particulièrement reflété dans le profilage racial, stop & palpation, et les taux d’incarcération ; de la campagne de sanctions visant à punir le président Robert Mugabe pour le retour les terres volées par les colons blancs aux populations autochtones du Zimbabwe. « 

La CPI elle-même a pour mission pour poursuivre les cas uniquement concernant les Africains : 26 accusés au total – et en fermant les yeux sur les crimes perpétrés par les pays occidentaux. Le comité soutient que la CPI agit en tant qu’une autre arme dans la campagne des pays occidentaux pour recoloniser l’Afrique et les Africains.

La délégation PASHC a tenu un forum sur «La CPI et la tâche de fin d’immunité de l’OTAN pour les crimes de guerre», à l’Université Erasmus à La Haye. Il a noté la partialité institutionnelle raciste de la CPI en ses 10 années d’existence, les seuls cas faisant l’objet de poursuites sont contre les Africains – et a cherché à savoir comment les participants peuvent faire avancer la campagne visant à poursuivre les pays de l’OTAN pour leurs crimes internationaux.

Le Procureur David Comissiong, président du Mouvement Clement Payne a dit: «Au cours de l’année dernière, 2011, les peuples du monde ont regardé avec horreur et incrédulité les dirigeants politiques et militaires des grandes puissances occidentales, les Etats Unis, la Grande-Bretagne, la France, l’Italie et le Canada, diriger la puissance de leurs arsenaux militaires contre le peuple et les dirigeants politiques de deux pays africains – La Libye et la Côte d’Ivoire, et en particulier contre le Frère Guide Mouammar Kadhafi et le président Laurent Gbagbo « .

Le Comite de Solidarite Pan African de La Haye fera un rapport de retour à la Communauté et discutera des travaux qui doivent être fait sur cette campagne. The Pan African Solidarity Hague Committee (PASHC), led by the December 12th Movement International Secretariat and the International Association Against Torture, delivered a petition to the Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), in The Hague, Netherlands on June 18. The petition demands that they pros…ecute the US, Britain, France, Italy, Canada and NATO for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

The PASHC legal team included Roger Wareham, Esq. (US), David Commissiong, Esq. (Barbados), Troy Griffith, Esq. (US), Alfred Toussaint, Esq. (Haiti), Sylvestre Kouadio, Esq. (Cote Ivoire) and Minister Akbar Muhammad (NOI / US).

According to human rights attorney Roger Wareham, “The crimes we are charging them with were committed during: the NATO invasion of Libya and the overthrow and assassination of Libya’s Col. Muammar Gaddafi; the US-led overthrow of Haiti’s duly elected President Jean Bertrand Aristide in 2004; the French military intervention that resulted in the capture and arrest of President Laurent Gbagbo of the Ivory Coast; the institutional racism the US inflicts upon its Black population, particularly reflected in racial profiling, stop & frisk, and incarceration rates; and the sanctions campaign designed to punish President Robert Mugabe for returning the land stolen by white settlers to the indigenous people of Zimbabwe.”

The ICC itself has come under scrutiny for prosecuting cases solely on Africans; 26 indictees total — and turning a blind eye to crimes perpetrated by western nations. The committee maintains that the ICC acts as another weapon in the western countries’ campaign to recolonize Africa and African people.

The PASHC delegation later held a forum on « The ICC and the Task of Ending NATO’s Immunity for War Crimes, » at Erasmus University in the Hague. It looked at the institutional racist bias of the ICC –in its 10 years of existence the only cases being prosecuted are against Africans – and how participants can push forward the campaign to prosecute the NATO countries for their international crimes.

Attorney David Comissiong, President of the Clement Payne Movement said,“During the course of last year, 2011, the people of the world watched in horror and disbelief a the political and military leaders of the major Western powers USA, Britain, France, Italy and Canada –directed the might of their powerful military arsenals against the people and political leaders of two African countries – Libya and Cote d’Ivoire, and in particular against Brother Leader Muammar Gathafi and President Laurent Gbagbo.”

The Pan African Solidarity Hague Committee will make a Report Back to the Community and discuss work the to be done on this campaign.
